Grooming Declaration
Cancellation Policy and Extra Charges
A minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule any appointment. In the event a customers fails to to attend or cancel an appointment with less that 48 hours notice, Posh Paws of Pinford End reserves the right to take a charge of at least 50% of the value of the appointment.

Posh Paws of Pinford End reserves the right to refuse dogs and charge at least 50% of the value of the appointment price if they attend the appointment with fleas, matting or severe behavioural issues.
​
If the customer is more than 15 minutes late for their dog's appointment, their appointment will be cancelled and the 50% charge will apply.
Due to the nature of the dogs we work with we cannot always give an exact time for collection, in these events customers will be given plenty of warning in order to collect their dogs. Customers who fail to arrive within a reasonable amount of time will be charged.

Failure to pay an additional charge or for a cancelled or missed appointment will result in an immediate ban from using any of Posh Paws of Pinford End's services.
Grooming
No dog will be subjected to stress or discomfort and all dogs will be groomed in accordance with The Animal Welfare Act.

No information supplied will be shared with any third parties, unless it is deemed that the dog is suffering from any forms of neglect. The relevant actions will be taken.

Each groom will be carried out in accordance with instructions requested by the owner. Whilst every effort will be made to comply with this, the results may not always be quite as the owner had visualised. This may be due to a variety of factors, e.g. matting, coat condition , temperament etc.
In the event of this situation, we will endeavour to inform the owner as soon as possible.
Please ensure your dog has had an adequate chance to relieve itself before you come to your appointment. If your dog does toilet during the grooming process and as a result requires a second bath you will be charged appropriately.
Matting
In the event of a dog needing a shave down, the owner should be aware that irritation can occur from this process. Shaving this short may also uncover nicks, cuts, skin complaints, or any other problems, including itchiness, redness, irritation.
The owner agrees the groomer will not be held liable for grooming effects of matt clipping procedures on matted/neglected coats.

You will also be responsible for payment of extra time for de–matting your dog if it is required.
Fleas
This is a flea free salon, you must treat your dog at home if you are aware of fleas.
If fleas are discovered before the groom begins, we reserve the right to refuse custom at that point.
Should we discover fleas during the groom, we will have no option but to bath your dog immediately in a suitable shampoo. An additional charge will be added to your bill to cover the cost of the extra shampoo, water, electricity, time and disruption.
After all the dogs have left the salon we have to fumigate the entire area, every dog that follows your dog through the salon will have to be treated as though it is infested too.
If fleas are discovered we will contact the entirety of the day’s bookings so that everyone is aware a dog with fleas has attended. If you wish to rearrange upon hearing this, you will not be charged.
Customer Declaration
I confirm that my pet is fit and healthy and fully vaccinated.

I agree that the groomer will not be held liable or responsible for irritation, abrasion, patchiness, or hair loss due to any pre-existing skin condition, or as a result of the process of grooming, de-matting, thinning, stripping or shaving or any mishap caused by my non-disclosure of my pet’s medical condition or behaviour.
Where an injury has occurred to the pet due to my dog’s behaviour then I will be liable for any costs.
If my pet bites or attempts to bite any person or pet, a muzzle may be used, or at the discretion of the groomer treatment may stop and I will still be liable to pay for the work done to that point plus any damages my dog may have caused.
If I fail to collect my pet at the agreed time, I will pay all extra costs due.

If I fail to cancel or attend an appointment, I will cover 50% or more of the cost of my dog's appointment. I will pay any additional fees necessary e.g. matting fees.
If my pet’s health causes concern veterinary treatment will be obtained at my expense.

I confirm that all facts I have supplied in my Client Form are true. I understand that It is my responsibility to inform the groomer if there are any changes to any of the information given on this declaration at each groom.
I accept and consent entirely to all the terms and conditions shown.
Posh Paws
Dog Walking & Training Agreement
Posh Paws must be alerted to any behavioural problems with their pet at the time of booking. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or cancellation of any future contract.

Posh Paws will inform the owner of any incident or anything which Posh Paws notices about the dog, which the owner ought to know. Posh Paws will take care, so far as is predictable, that the dog is not a nuisance or danger to anyone, or any other animals and that no harm comes to it.
Dog Walking
Your dog will be collected from your home and walked for an hour, on the agreed days. Any changes must be agreed upon in good time, e.g. if you book a holiday please give us at least a month's notice that you will not need our services.

All owners are required to give Posh Paws a key to their home -purely for the use of collecting and returning your dog. Please be assured that this key will be used for no other purpose and will be kept safe & returned to the customer on demand.

All dogs must have up to date inoculations and be parasite free prior to walking.
​
Please note that under the Control of Dogs Order 1992, all dogs must wear a collar and identity tag in a public place. The tag must have the owner's name and address.

Where a dog or cat flap is fitted, it is the owner's sole responsibility to ensure that the garden and it's fences are secure. It is not Posh Paws' responsibility to check this when doing home visits or leaving your dog following a walk.
Emergencies & Insurance
Posh Paws are covered by Petplan dog walking insurance, including public liability as well as the care and control of animals.
Posh Paws will care for your animals as you would, and whilst we will make every effort to ensure your pet is well looked after in your abscence, Posh Paws cannot be held liable for any loss, injury or death of a pet whilst in our care.
Charges & Cancellations
Posh Paws will aim to confirm bookings weekly but it is recommended that owners block book well in advance to avoid missing out. Posh Paws will always do their best to accommodate changes to bookings but it may not always be possible.

Posh Paws reserves the right to charge 50% of the normal fee if the owner cancels within 24 hours of their booking.
